Carlisle Events has announced some major changes, including the addition of a Thursday “Early Bird” day and reduced ticket cost on Sunday for the annual Ford Nationals in June.

In 2013, the Ford Nationals will open a day earlier, on Thursday, to provide an opportunity for early bird shoppers to get a jump on the rare parts and great deals in the swap meet. Additionally, Sunday admission will be reduced by half, plus parking outside of Gate 5 will be free  on Sunday.  Finally, children age 12 and under will be admitted free.  Previously, free admission was granted for children 8 and under.

Carlisle also announced a change in staff members and the addition of new shows for 2013. Five full staff members have been added, including Ken Appell as the new Ford Nationals event manager to replace Rick Markko, who left the organization earlier this year. With the addition of four new events, including the Zephyrhills Fall and Winter AutoFests in Florida, Carlisle will host 16 events in 2013.
