You can bake a Mach 1

cake but you can’t eat it too, especially if it looks like your favorite Mustang.

Each June during the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, the Mach 1 Registry throws a Friday evening barbecue at their host hotel. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ’03 Mach 1, Derek Smith at M.A.D. Crafted Cakes delivered one of his 3-D/Sculpted cakes in the shape of registry founder Dave Wagner’s Mach 1.

“Derek is truly an artist,” says Bill Hamilton, who sent us photos of the cake, including one with Wagner (right) and former Team Mustang Customization Engineer Scott Hoag, who spearheaded the Mach 1 project. “The cake was so great looking that we couldn’t cut into it!”
