Roush Performance is opening up a new niche with the ’13 Roush RS, which stands for the “Roush Six” V-6 package.

Based on the 3.7L Mustang, the Roush RS received an array of Roush engineered styling and handling components to offer 305 horsepower, great fuel economy, and superb handling for $4,000 over the cost of the Mustang.

Chassis improvements include 19-inch premium wheels and tires from the Mustang GT with Brembo brakes, plus lowering springs to drop the car one-inch front and rear to reduce the car’s center of gravity. Body enhancements incorporate many of the R6 aerobody components from the Roush Stage vehicles, including high-flow upper and lower grilles, chin splitter, and rear spoiler.

The Roush S comes with “R” fender badges and faux gas cap. Hood scoop, rear quarter window louvers, and RS graphics are optional.

Inside, Roush RS upgrades include Roush embroidered floor mats, billet pedals, and a Roush center console badge, with leather seating (GT or Roush) available optionally.

“We’re excited to offer a Roush package for all levels of the Mustang line-up,” says Tim Wheeler, VP of Sales and Marketing for Roush. “The RS addresses the Mustang V-6 owner who is looking for the Roush touch right off the showroom floor.”
