The Mustang Recognition Guide, originally published by the editors of Mustang Monthly in 1981 and out-of-print over recent years, has been republished by California Mustang.
Better yet, the original printing plates have been digitized by California Mustang, resulting in better print quality, clearer photos, and brighter colors.
When written by Larry Dobbs, Donald Farr, Rick Kopec, and Jerry Heasley, the Mustang Recognition Guide was the first book to accurately describe each Mustang model from ’65-’73, including Shelbys and Bosses, with photos and listings of factory equipment and options.
Many of the photos came from Ford’s own archives. A chapter is devoted to each model year, while charts in the back provide information for decoding VINs and data plates. It remains one of the most complete books of Mustang facts and figures.
The reprinted Mustang Recognition Guide is now available for $18 from California Mustang. Order by calling 800/775-0101, or visit the website at www.cal-mustang.com.
