To honor and recognize Carroll Shelby, who passed away on May 10, Mustang Monthly and Motor Trend have teamed up to produce a special magazine: Shelby: A Tribute to an American Original.
The 132-page, perfect-bound publication covers all facets of Shelby's life, including his early race driving success, the birth of the Cobra, international racing with the Daytona Coupe and Ford GT, development of the GT350 and GT500 Mustangs, and more recent activities with the Mustang GT500 Super Snakes and GT350s from today's Shelby American.
Other features include original Cobra and GT350 road tests from Motor Trend, anecdotes from friends and associates, Series One and Shelby Dodge histories, and a Forward by Jay Leno.
Carroll Shelby: A Tribute to an American Original goes on-sale at newsstands around the country on August 3.
