COBRA AUTOMOTIVE now offers this high-quality reproduction of the factory 428 SCJ harmonic balancer (OEM part number C8AE-6316-C). It’s faithfully manufactured from the original Ford blueprints, and you’ll find it identical in every manner, with the exception of the Ford markings.
This is a fully balanced, 100 percent new replacement unit that will eliminate the need to use an old balancer. Typically, as they age, the rubber in the original ones dries out, which allows the timing marks to move. The 428 SCJ balancer was unique to this engine because of the heavy duty connecting rods used in the rotating assembly. This balancer is a direct replacement, and will bolt onto any 428 SCJ engine from 1969-70.
