Jon Enyeart, President and Founder of Pony Carburetors, needs our prayers and our well wishes.
I've known Jon Enyeart the better part of 20 years. We've been friends as well as business associates and seen each other through a lot in that time. We spent time together at Jon's original Pony Carburetors facility in Western New York, have built our share of carburetors together, and even had dinner together by candlelight during a power outage at his home. When Jon decided to escape rough Western New York winters and move his Pony Carburetors operation to Las Cruces, New Mexico, I visited him there too. We've had the great pleasure of one another's company, sipped our share of wine together, and chatted about everything under the sun. When I think of terrific friends, I count Jon among them.
Our dear friend, Jon Enyeart, is going through a very tough time right now. He's wrestling with brain cancer and is struggling to stay alive. When I learned this news, I called Jon and we had a nice chat. He was certainly not his old self, but ever the gentleman. At this time, Jon is in Houston, Texas seeking a specialized form of cancer treatment in hopes of getting better.
It is important to note Jon's condition isn't affecting day to day operations at Pony Carburetors, with business in the hands of outstanding professionals who continue to take good care of Jon's customers.
I write this blog because I'd like our readers to keep Jon Enyeart in their thoughts and prayers. Our world needs Jon. And - he needs us. We will keep you posted on his condition here in your Mustang Monthly Magazine.
