A 25-year veteran in the Mustang performance aftermarket, Kenny Brown is legendary for building technically advanced Mustangs. After a medical hiatus, Kenny is back in the driver’s seat designing high-performance suspensions for the latest Mustangs.

His critically-acclaimed suspension components for street and track-day Mustangs are some of the best in the Mustang aftermarket. Heidts will be the official licensed manufacturing and distribution partner for both his current and future line of late-model performance products. The synergy of combined brands will provide performance enthusiasts an expanded range of chassis and suspension components for Mustang and other performance cars from 1964 to the present.

Heidts, a leader in Street Rod and Muscle Car suspension components for over 25 years, is recognized for its engineering excellence and manufacturing capabilities. The company was founded by Gary Heidt in 1985 and is currently owned by Wallace Leyshon, President of Heidts Automotive, and his business partners.

“To meet the growing demand for our products, we have been looking to find a partner to manufacture and distribute the Kenny Brown Performance components,” Brown stated. “Heidts was by far the best fit for us. Both companies share the same commitment to quality, performance, and value that Kenny Brown products are known for. Additionally, the unique advantage of combining two superior suspension design groups provides unmatched potential for improving and developing products for the street rod, muscle car, and performance car segments, so the strategic alliance made perfect sense.”

“We are pleased to be partnering with Kenny Brown,” says Wallace Leyshon, owner and President of Heidts. “In addition to the positive chemistry, complementary skills, and experience between Kenny and Heidts, the combined team provides clear advantages in expanding solutions for our dealers and customers, especially in the performance and track segments.”

To insure the continual flow of products, Kenny will assume the role of Acting Director of Engineering and New Product Development for both Heidts and Kenny Brown brands and work closely with Owen Bassett, Heidts’ Engineering Manager. In addition, Cari Southworth, long-time Marketing Director for Kenny Brown, will continue her role with the Kenny Brown brand along with added responsibilities of overseeing marketing of the Heidts brand as well.
