Gateway Classic Mustang has announced that SPEED’s one-hour special of the 2010 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational is scheduled to air Friday, March 11.
The invitational took place on November 6, 2010, following the 2010 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Gateway Classic Mustang’s driver, Brad Coomer, raced the company’s yellow '68 Mustang coupe to an 11th place finish at the competition.
“We couldn’t be more satisfied with Brad’s top scores during the event,” stated Jason Childress, co-owner of Gateway Classic Mustang. “We’re honored to have been invited and compete against some of the most notable street-legal cars in the industry. We can’t wait to watch all the high-performance action on SPEED.”
The invitation-only challenge hosted more than 50 of the most prominent cars showcased at SEMA to the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. The competition tested the quality and performance of the country’s top performance manufacturers, designers, builders, and car owners. The cars competed in four separate categories, including styling, autocross, stop box, and road course.
