For the first time, Ford is offering historic photos for sale from its huge photographic archives.
Thousands of images, dating to the earliest days of Ford Motor Company and including many vintage and new Mustang images, have been hauled out of the archives and licensed for sale. Over 5,000 images were available earlier this year, with hundreds being added each week at www.fordimages.com.
Photos are available as commemorative and limited-edition prints, vintage signs, and advertisements. The subjects vary, including portraits and photographs from press releases, events, factories, motorsports, and product development, just to name a few.
“The entire world of Ford culture is here,” said Dean Weber, manager of the Ford Archives. “These images represent the special place Ford has in not only American history but world history.”
Fordimages.com is managed by Rick Weedn, an official Ford licensee, whose company licenses and sells archival images for other companies, including Harley-Davidson and The Henry Ford. Prices range from $59.99 for an 18x24-inch print on archival paper to $469.99 for a 44x60-inch image on stretched canvas.
