Synthetic Engine Oil - More Choice!

Interested in better wear control?  Check out Amsoil synthetic engine oil for your classic or late-model Mustang.

In a world with so many choices, it's nice to know there's an easier decision to make about engine oil for your Mustang old or new.  Amsoil takes engine lubrication quite seriously.  As a result, it introduces a family of synthetic engine oil for all kinds of applications.

If you have a classic Mustang in your garage, you're going to want 10W30 or 10W40 for your vintage engine because this is what older engines need even if they've been recently rebuilt.  Older engines have looser tolerances, which means they can tolerate higher oil viscosity.  Your main objective needs to be an adequate oil wedge between moving parts and good flow when the engine is cold.

Late-model Mustangs with overhead cam engines call for lower viscosity engine oils like 5W20 and 5W30 because tolerances are tighter and oil needs to be able to flow freely.  These lightweight synthetics are perfect for late-model Mustangs and promise you long engine life if you treat your engine respectfully.

If you're breaking in a fresh engine, opt for conventional engine oil for the first 1,000 miles before going to a synthetic.  Then, fill the pan with Amsoil XL Extended Life synthetic engine oil along with a Motorcraft or K&N oil filter for optimum filtration.  For more information go to www.amsoil.com
