Look what we found in Oklahoma. Jeff Chipman's 1969 Mustang Hardtop restomod in blazing Grabber Orange demonstrates what you can do with a 1969-73 Mustang hardtop given imagination and a limited budget.
We have to tell you, the heat, humidity, and wind in Oklahoma back in June were challenging at the MCA Oklahoma National Show. However, Jeff Chipman's '69 Mustang hardtop took our mind off the heat and thirst.
Jeff told us, "I've been a car nut all of my life, but couldn't afford it until 11 years ago when I turned 36." That's when he concluded he decided to build this good looking hardtop. Jeff has proven you can do just about anything with a vanilla ride given imagination. He took this 302 V-8 hardtop and went to work weaving a creation that had people stopping by for a chat all weekend. This is a very sharp ride with its Mini-Lites, special graphics, striking color, and throaty demeanor. It sounds sweet too. What's more, he drove it down from Illinois.
Can't afford a Mach 1, Shelby, or a Boss? The 1969-73 Mustang hardtop is something few people consider because they don't always catch the eye in a world full of slippery fastbacks and dreamy convertibles. However, they're plentiful, cheap, and long on potential.
Stay tuned for Jeff Chipman's '69 restomod in your Mustang Monthly Magazine.
