We continue to promote headers for classic Mustangs from Ford Powertrain Applications (FPA) in Everett, Washington because we've had such great success with them.  The beauty of FPA headers is how they're engineered.  Instead of your typical header collector flange that blows gaskets periodically, the FPA header utilizes a 2 1/2-inch or 3-inch ball and socket arrangement similar to factory headers and pipes, which use no gaskets or sealing rings. 

What's more, the FPA header yields a perfect fit with a nice, snug, close-in flow right alongside the engine, which means it clears everything.  These headers are available raw, painted, or ceramic coated.  You can install a small-block Ford V-8 with FPA headers installed.  As incredible as it may seem, you can install an FE series big-block with these headers installed.  In some applications, you may only be able to install a 390 or 428 with one FPA header installed due to variations in shock tower dimensions.
