For Nostalgia Buffs...

For those of you who long for the good old days - the 1980s - this one's for you.

Back in February of 1985, my first wife and I went to Grant Ford in St. Petersburg, Florida to buy a new Mustang or Thunderbird.  Seeking comfort, we chose a Sand Beige 1985 Thunderbird with 3.8L V-6.  Wasn't much on power, but it served us well.

In fact, that Atlanta-built Thunderbird was the first fuel-injected automobile I've ever owned.

While we were signing papers and working out terms with Ford Motor Credit, I took this picture knowing one day it would be important to documenting Mustang history from the 1980s.  These are leftover 1984 Mustang GTs sitting on Grant Ford's showroom floor - unsold 1984 units no one wanted at the time.  No idea what ever happened to that Sand Beige Thunderbird.
