My '66 GT restoration at Classic Creations of Central Florida is starting to gain momentum.
With the car painted (including the engine compartment) and the body panels fitted, it's time to start gathering parts so Merv Rego and crew at Classic Creations of Central Florida can start putting everything back together.
Perusing the catalogs and making a parts list is tedious but fun. I didn't realize that you can get gas shocks that look original, or that so many parts require the need to know when the car was built if you're trying to go back to the factory appearance. I'm still trying to figure out if I need star washers or serated washers for the fender bolts.
Merv is hoping to have the car completed in time for NPD's Ford and Mustang show at Silver Springs in January. Now it's up to me to get the parts.
