Hurst Performance announces the limited edition supercharged BFGoodrich/Hurst 2010 Mustang Pace Car.
On September 19th, the BFGoodrich/Hurst Mustang convertible made its debut at the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge event at Miller Motorsports Park at Toole, Utah. Hurst needs no introduction with car enthusiasts. "Hurst has a unique place in the world of pace cars," Ron Flint, President of Hurst Performance Vehicles, said. "We are privileged to honor Hurst's history again and build cars that are fun to collect and even more fun to drive."
These limited edition Hurst Mustangs feature huge 20-inch Hurst polished wheels with gold spokes wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force KDW tires for maximum performance in just about any situation. The car are surely distinctive with painted gold racing stripes and official pace car logos on a white background. Each car has a white top boot and interior along with special badging and a unique Hurst AIR-SPEED rear deck spoiler.
Inside, the traditional Hurst T-Handle shifter has center stage on both manual and automatic cars along with custom floor mats.
Handling and attitude are provided by Eibach, with Hurst-tuned coilover shocks, springs, and sway bars for exceptional handling. Beneath the bonnet, Hurst has fitted this limited edition Mustang with a 435-horse 4.6L Modular V-8 yielding over 400 ft/lbs of torque. Magnaflow mufflers aid the excitement.
Each Hurst Mustang gets a certificate of authenticity along with an etched metal dash plaque and autographed signatures from the Hurst team.
With the Ford Mustang Racing Challenge behind it, expect to see the original Hurst pace car around the country at different events.
