If my '66 GT hardtop looks similar to the photo I posted in the last update, that's because the restoration has come to a stand-still over the past couple of weeks.

Within weeks of receiving the Mustang, Merv Rego and crew at Classic Creations of Central Florida disassembled the car, repaired the sheetmetal, lined up the body panels, and got everything in primer. Now it's waiting on paint, which will be done by an outside shop. Due to the Florida summertime humidity and other factors, the local paint shop is running behind schedule, so my Mustang, along with four others at Classic Creations, are waiting for paint.

The good news is that my '66 is first in line.

It's just one of the things you have to deal with during a full-scale Mustang restoration.
