National Parts Depot’s 16th Annual Ford & Mustang Round-up has been scheduled for January 9-10, 2010, at Silver Springs Park in Ocala, Florida.

NPD has held its Mustang and Fords show in January at Silver Springs for the past 15 years, experiencing great turnouts (nearly 1,100 cars in 2009 from 1,530 pre-registrations), plus the attraction of having other things to do, such as glass-bottom boats to check out the natural springs, a kids petting zoo, and more. Check out http://www.silversprings.com/ for more on the park and its attractions.

Although the main shows takes place on Saturday and Sunday, the event also incorporates a cruise to Cedar Key from NPD’s main warehouse in Ocala on Friday morning, January 8. Participants start gathering around 8 AM, with a short driver’s meeting detailing the cruise around 9-9:30 AM before departing. There were162 cars in the cruise last year. After a short trip up Interstate 75, cruisers exit and then travel back roads through Ocala’s horse farm country at easy driving speeds on the way to scenic Cedar Key. Upon arrival, participants can eat lunch, peruse the shops, or enjoy the views of this small fishing community before returning to Ocala at their own pace.

Once back in Ocala, cruisers are welcome to check out NPD’s car collection (over 140 cars). VMP Tuning will also be on-hand with their mobile Dynojet chassis dyno. The highest pull will receive a goodie bag from NPD.

The first 1,000 cars to pre-register by a January 1, 2010 receive free entry into the park for car, driver, and one passenger. Any entry postmarked after 01/02/10, the day of show, or beyond the 1,000-car threshold can purchase the show package for $21 per car, which still includes passes for driver and one passenger. Note: If you are planning to attend but not show a car, you'll be subject to the standard park entrance fee of $34.99/general, $24.99 for children ages 3-10.

A registration form can be found on the NPD website at http://www.npdlink.com/. Click on the "Ford & Mustang Round-up" banner for a pdf version of the registration form.
