Check this out - Ford Body Engineering engine compartment mock-up images from the 1960s.






A very good friend of ours, currently retired from Ford Motor Company, shared these images with us years ago when it was time for him to escape to rural Michigan.  These are engine compartment mock-up images from the late 1960s that show us to some degree how it was done 40 years ago long before computer aided technology.  The '67 Mustang engineering buck used for 1968 mock-up purposes was actually a Metuchen plant production car with the vehicle identification number stamped into the inner fender.  This same unit was also used for 200 six mock-up purposes as well.  Some of the engines used in these images were from Engine Engineering.  Look for the experimental label on the left hand valve cover.

There are also a couple of '69 428 Cobra Jet mock-ups that include prototype cast valve covers.  Enjoy...
