Kenny Brown, the noted Mustang engineer, driver, and car builder who has been dealing with health issues for the past three years, is making his first major public appearance at the Mustang 45th Anniversary Celebration at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 16-19.

Kenny will be at the Speedworks trailer in the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge paddock. Kenny has been contracted by Speedworks to be their Team Engineer and Driver Coach for the 2009 season of the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge.

Renowned for his top-of-the-line Mustangs, track cars, performance parts, and motorsports services, Kenny was forced to close shop three years ago due to life-threatening medical issues and was not expected to survive. After many doctors, hospitalizations, rehabilitation, and prayers from the Mustang faithful, Kenny is back, along with his unique brand of performance cars and parts.

“We have had so much support from Mustang enthusiasts and clubs,” says wife and business partner Cari Southworth. “Initially, we are taking a measured ‘part throttle’ approach as not to overwhelm Kenny and jeopardize his health. We are bringing back the best-selling Kenny Brown SN-95 and Fox parts, along with some new S-197 Mustang parts.”

Kenny decided that if he is going to get back in the Mustang market, he is going to focus on what he is passionate about – motorsports, designing/engineering new products, and building superior performance street and track cars. “I decided life is too short not to fulfill your dreams, and I still have some kick-ass cars and parts swirling around in my head that I need to build,” Kenny said.

Prototypes of Kenny’s new GT-4 suspension have been tested on his CSR-69 Mustang by his son, professional Mustang racer Paul Brown. The GT-4 suspension is the fourth generation of Kenny’s Advanced Geometry Suspension Systems. AGS 4.0 will be released as the GT-4 System and be the featured suspension on Kenny’s new GT-4 Mustang conversion package for track or street. The Kenny Brown Mustang CSR-69 will be on display at the 45th Mustang Anniversary Celebration with the GT-4 System.
