Just as the original Mustang was advertised as “the car to be designed by you,” the ’10 Ridemakerz Mustang is – literally – designed by you.

The Ridemakerz Mustang can be customized by anyone at Ridemakerz.com, where kids from six to 106 build and customize modern-day model cars and trucks. The ’10 Mustang is 1:14th scale - about the size of a football - and puts down a 0-60 (feet) run in 5.3 seconds with its rear-wheel, battery-powered radio-control chassis or the manual free-wheel chassis powered by the forearm muscle of the customizer.

The Mustang musclecar can be customized with unique rims, side-pipes, hood scoops, and several blown engine options so that kids and parents alike can trick out their ultimate Mustang.

The Ridemakerz ’10 Mustang is available at www.ridemakerz.com and the 12 Ridemakerz shops nationwide. The base price for the Ridemakerz Tidal Power Blue or Raven Scream Black Mustang is $26; Flamehawk Red is $29. To commemorate the Mustang launch, Ridemakerz is offering limited editions for $32; fittingly, only 2010 are available. Each model includes a stock body and free-wheel chassis with stock wheels. Accessories for the Mustang start at $2 and are interchangeable with other Ridemakerzcars. Remote control is an additional $25.

Anyone who purchases a Mustang online or in a Ridemakerz shop will receive a unique access code allowing them to race a replica of the Mustang in the Ridemakerz virtual experience, a place where dads and sons (or the car-loving daughter) play games and learn about cars.
