One Answer About VINs

We may have learned something new about misstamped Mustang VINs.

We found this 1967 Falcon sedan at The Restomod Shop in Stockton, California.  It was stamped with the wrong VIN and someone caught this mistake at Ford's Kansas City Assembly Plant a long time ago.  The correct VIN was stamped above the incorrect VIN along with what look like arrows to indicate this fact.  Outside the stars are arrows to clarify which VIN is correct.  We have also seen incorrect VINs Xed out next to a correct VIN on Mustangs.  We have also seen Mustangs with Cougar body serial codes in the VIN.  Errors did indeed happen.  Not all of these errors were caught and corrected.
