As of now, Roush will be equipping its cars with Cooper tires--a recent move wherein Cooper designed an all-new purpose-designed tire specifically for ’09 Roush Mustangs.
The Cooper Zeon RS3 is an ultra-high performance (UHP) summer tire and will provide seriously grippy dry-limit handling, along with optimum steering response and high levels of wet-weather traction and hydroplane resistance.
Working closely with Roush, Cooper spent the better part of two years researching and developing the W-rated (168 mph) Zeon RS3. And it works quite well as we experienced ourselves during a day of hot lapping at South Haven, Michigan’s 1.88-mile GingerMan Raceway.
An invigorating road course well-known among numerous race teams for testing, it was the ideal venue for exploring the limits of the new Cooper tires as mounted on fast Roush supercharged Stage 3 Mustangs. We wish every work day was this much fun. For more info, visit roushperformance.com or coopertire.com.
