Petronix Ford FE 390-428 Billet Distributor
PerTronix claims its new plug-and-play billet distributor for Ford FE (390 and 428) engines is designed to provide optimum ignition performance and easy installation.
This distributor upgrades outdated points or stock electronic systems with a performance-proven distributor that features the patented Ignitor II electronic ignition module and a CNC machined 6061 T-6 polished billet housing and deck.
PerTronix electronics are also compatible with any inductive ignition system coil, but high-rpm performance can be improved when used with its low-resistant (0.6 ohm) Flame-Thrower II coil. If you’re using a multi-spark CD ignition box or a Pertronix Second Strike box the distributor is still compatible.
Additional features include a tempered shaft with low torsion displacement, an upper ball bearing and lower self-lubricating oil-impregnated copper powder metal bushing and a durable machined heat-treated gear. Distributors come with a factory set performance curve, a mechanical-advance limiting adjustment and a high dielectric strength cap and rotor.
