Remembering our 2004 cover shoot with Lee Iacocca, father of the Mustang.

It took 20 years, but it finally happened.  In the spring of 2004 as we were celebrating the Mustang's 40th Anniversary, Lee Iacocca finally agreed to do an interview in Mustang Monthly quite a few years after his retirement from Chrysler.  We met Iacocca at his Bel Air mansion in Southern California for 2004 MM cover shoot and interview and had a terrific time discussing everything from the Mustang to politics.  Although he originally agreed to a one hour interview, we sat there for three hours jawing about all kinds of issues. Most on his mind was our country and his family.

This fall, Lee Iacocca celebrates his 84th birthday and a lifetime of service to both the auto industry and our great nation.  Mr. Iacocca, we salute your great efforts and achievements.
