Just what is it about the Pertronix Ignitor and Ignitor II that get our motors running? The Pertronix Ignitor Series first appeared on the scene more than a decade ago and there are untold hundreds of thousands of them in service. The little, tiny Pertronix Ignitor module drops right into your Ford or vintage aftermarket performance distributor, bringing electronic ignition to old point-triggered distributors in 30 minutes and its costs less than one hundred bucks.

What makes this little guy such a miracle worker? Technology and the great engineering minds at Pertronix. Observe your engine's performance prior to the Pertronix Ignitor II, then after. Before - rough idle, timing mark all over the place, hard starting? We thought so. With the Ignitor II, you should experience a smoother idle, easier starting, and consistant ignition timing.

We sometimes get complaints of "no start" condition with the Pertronix Ignitors from time to time and here's why. When you upgrade your distributor with the Ignitor II, always remember to use the ground strap inside your distributor. Without the ground strap, the Pertronix Ignitor will not always start your engine. It needs to be grounded just like points do. Also remember to install the ground strap between engine and firewall for the same reason - to complete the electrical circuit and have a fully operational Ignitor. Remember, your engine sits on rubber mounts and needs that ground strap.
