A record number of new and old Shelbys, Bosses, Mustangs, Cobras, and other Fords helped kick-off the Mid-America Ford and Team Shelby Nationals on Thursday evening with a cruise to downtown Brookside.
The Tulsa Police Department, who blocked off four blocks for cruise parking, said 775 cars participated. Last year's cruise count was under 500, proving that this year's inclusion of the Team Shelby Nationals has boosted attendence. In fact, participants had a hard time finding parking places at the host Marriott hotel.
The cruise also included five Boss 429s and 25 Boss 302s, in town for the Boss Nationals, which is also taking place during the Mid-America event.
Mid-America continues today (Friday) with open track at Hallett.
