Halicki Films Eleanor

Just when you thought the Eleanor craze was over after Unique Performance closed amid title washing charges, Halicki Films Company has announced that Classic Recreations has been selected as the officially-licensed fabricator to build the Eleanor Mustang, a ’67 Mustang fastback based on the modified Shelby GT500 in the movie, "Gone in 60 Seconds."

Halicki Films, producer of "Gone in 60 Seconds," states that it has granted Classic Recreations the license to build "the only genuine Eleanors," but only after visits to the company’s Oklahoma factory and a battery of background and criteria checks. "We wanted to make sure the company we chose to build the first authentic, officially-licensed ‘Eleanor’ was credible and reliable, and, more importantly, that they are truly craftsmen. Classic Recreations’ passion for ‘Eleanor’ can be seen in the company’s handcrafting work." said Denice Halicki.

To ensure each transaction, Classic Recreation will maintain each customer’s deposit and purchase fee in an escrow account at a federally-insured financial institution until the customer’s car is completed and ready for delivery.

To build the new Eleanor, Classic Recreations starts with either an original body or with Dynacorn’s ’67 Mustang fastback replacement body, as licensed and authorized by Ford. The customer can choose.

The Eleanor is available as a 535-horsepower FI Model, priced at $139,900, or a 770-horsepower FIS Model, with a modified rear suspension, for $189,900. Each car will be built with high-tech materials to produce reliable power and handling. Handcrafted to order by Classic Recreations, the cars will offer performance features like coil-over suspension, sequential fuel injection, oversized Baer brakes, and a 410cid Keith Craft Racing engine. The cars will also be equipped with automatic or Tremec TKO manual transmissions, Posi Traction rearend, Concept One serpentine drive belt system, air conditioning, custom sound system, and five-point Simpson harnesses. Available upgrades include leather interior, keyless entry, and custom in-dash DVD and satellite navigation entertainment systems.

Each built-to-order vehicle takes approximately four months of assembly. Available colors include Pepper Grey/Black, Red/White, Black/Silver, Yellow/Black, and Blue/White.
